Humayun in talks with Owaisi, declares alliance with AIMIM for Assembly polls

After laying the foundation of "Babri masjid style" replica mosque, now suspended TMC MLA Humayun Kabir is talks with Asaduddin Owaisi's AIMIM to form an alliance. Today he declares that he has spoken to Owaisi for a tie-up, declares alliance in Bengal Assembly polls vowing to fight both his old party and the BJP tooth and nail. This isn't just rebellion—it's Kabir positioning himself as the "kingmaker" who could block either side from grabbing the throne, all sparked by his year-long gripes against CM Mamata Banerjee for ignoring party workers like him. 

Humayun declares a united front with AIMIM to shake up the 2026 bengal elections, where Muslim votes could tip the scales in key districts. It's a savvy play from a man who has joined BJP before, but now he's all-in on carving his own path, slamming TMC for "betraying" loyalists and BJP for stoking divides. As whispers of this Owaisi pact ripple through Bengal's political corridors, the stakes couldn't be higher for Bengal's fractured politics. Humayun claims that he has already had initial discussions with Asaduddin Owaisi on this matter and Owaisi invited him to come over to Hyderabad. Talks have been finalized regarding the plan to form a new party in association with AIMIM.

He adds, that he will announce his new party on 22nd December and he will be the chairman of the party. He wiill meet Owaisi in Hyderabad soon and invite him to the party's state convention in which Owaisi is also interested. Humayun Kabir also expresses his desire to have not only AIMIM, but also ISF and the Left (CPIM) on his side if necessary. For Humayun Kabir, it's do-or-die: win big and rewrite the rules, or fade into footnotes. Either way, one suspended MLA just made sure no one's sleeping easy in the ruling camp—or the opposition's dugout.
